Today I learned time in Maori ! Somebody says "Ko te aha te wā". And you answer with "Ko te (time) karaka te wā." In the time you put in Tahi, Rua, Toru, Wha, Rima, Ono, Whitu, Waru, Iwa, tekau  (Might be wrong spelling).  R: I learned how to say the time in Maori . It was fun learning it. I would like to teach it as a student workshop.

Natural disasters in NZ!

Natural disasters in NZ! There are lots of disasters. Sometimes they can cost lots of money to fix and it is scary for towns/cities when they happen! There is earthquakes, tornados, floods, forest fires, volcanoes and lots more in NZ! Sometimes earthquakes can make floods because they might break the water pipes underground! Also, they could break a wall around a river and then it starts to flood! Did you know that Hamilton is quite safe from earthquakes? There have been 20 earthquakes in NZ (New Zealand) 2010 to 2016 (2010-2016). There has only been 1 in Waikato at Taupo! Christchurch has had 4 earthquakes (2010 to 2016). Only talking about ones with a better magnitude of 60. Also not talking about aftershocks. Did you know that tornados can spin up to 300 mph? Also, did you know that tornados often come from very very early in the morning to bedtime? They still come at other times. Tornados can also be named twisters or whirlwinds. We don’t want disease-carrying biting bugs!!” Did you know the mosquito carries a very bad disease? Pippa asked Dugeon (Care Taker) and Dugeon took out the dirty water out of the H.E.S pool. Newspaper Report Writing Rubric Level 1/2 Friend Myself My report tells about something new, important, unusual or interesting. ✓ My piece has a headline. ✓ My headline gets the readers attention and tells about the main idea of the newsstory. ✓ The introduction comes next. It is short and tells who, when, what where. ✓ The rest of my writing tells more facts. I told about the news happening to

Operetta - Te 29 o Hereturikoka

For the operetta, I come on the stage first. We all sing the ditty. The ditty is "Bright fine gold, Bright fine gold, One a pecker, Two a pecker Bright fine gold, Spend it in the summer and you die in the cold, It cannot light a lantern or even ease a pain, And yet we go on searching tho' we search in vain, Bright fine gold Bright fine gold, One a pecker, Two a pecker, bright fine gold". When the class says the first "Bright fine gold" Kaya comes on to the stage,  When the class says the 2nd "Bright fine gold" I come onto the stage. Reflection: I enjoy doing the operetta, I learnt the word ditty. It means a 'short song'. I have thought creatively by doing something people haven't already done.

How to play tag (At H.E.S)

How to play Tag (H.E.S Edition) What you need: 2 + People. More is better 1. Find people to play with 2. Choose a random person to be in from the start. The person who wanted to play can choose. If you are in then read step 3 and then skip to page 3. If you are not in then keep reading 3. Go down Putikitiki if you are kauri team and if you are totara/kowhai you can only play on middle flat. It has to be Lunchtime to play. 4. Before you start, walk away from the tagger/toucher. 5. Tagger means toucher and tag means touch. 6. The tagger has to count to 10/20/30/40/50/60. The person that wanted to play can choose. You will also have to run when the tagger is counting. 7. Once the tagger has counted to 0 he/her will try to tag you. You have to still keep running so AVOID THE TAGGER. 8. If he runs super fast after you and you are toooooooooo slowwww you will have to do what he is DOINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. If you got tagged then keep reading. If you didn't
